The Multi- Modal Transit Hub project identified under Pune’s Smart City proposal for integrating and providing interchange between different public transport modes, and creating an iconic development in Pune on Public-Private-Partnership.
The Transit Hub is proposed to be developed at Balewadi Sr No 26 ~11 acre site opposite Balewadi Sports Complex – presently PMPML operates a bus depot / parking lot at site

- Critical to solve the challenge of mobility – 30% of bypass traffic goes through Pune today
- Potential to unlock significant value from the real estate development
– Transit oriented real estate development becoming important globally
– Very close to center of Pune – limited space for commercial real estate development
- Based on preliminary design, total built up area in excess of 3 Mn sqft, including parking areas
- EOI for the project has been complete where outreach was done to more than 30 reputed national and international developers
